The summer is already starting to fade and this means Ivy’s wardrobe is due for an update. A late night online browse turned in to a late night spend (as per usual) and surprisingly Matalan toddler clothes were a hidden treasure trove of dreamy mustard fabrics, embroidered denim and laid back stripes. Here are my top purchases ready for the chillier months.
- Girls Embroidered Denim Jacket – £18 – £22
I need one of these in my own size ASAP! Just look at the little sheepskin collar and stitched flowers. I fell in love with this as soon as I saw it and added it straight to my basket. It will be perfect to throw on with leggings and a simple tee to instantly make the outfit stand out.
- Girls Gingham Frill Dress – £10 – £12
Paired with chunky knit tights and Chelsea boots, I know this is going to be a firm favourite right through into Winter. I love the frill detail across the chest and arms. And it’s monochrome gingham – the perfect print!
- Girls Striped Frill Sleeve Turtle Neck – £6 – £7
You can never go wrong with simple stripes and a turtle neck is so versatile. I am on the hunt for a cord dungaree dress to layer over the top, so let me know if you see any.
- Girls Long Sleeve Woven Blouse – £10 – £12
Is it even Autumn if half your wardrobe isn’t mustard? Paired with some blue jeans, this pretty blouse is loose enough to be layered over a vest for colder days and the frilly cuffs are a cute addition.
- Girls Mesh Dress & T Shirt Set – £12 – £14
More stripes, but this time with a mesh overlay dress for a punk chick vibe. This will look perfect paired with some Doc Martens, tights and a messy bun.
- Girls 3 Pack Ruffle Tops – £8 – £9
Last but not least, this 3 pack of simple long sleeve t shirts with ruffle detailing will mix and match great with a variety of looks. The 3 colours – pink, green and white – are the perfect shades and are such good value for money.
I definitely think the clothes look a lot more expensive than they were and have Zara vibes as opposed to Matalan toddler clothes. I found a £6 discount code online too and there is free delivery if you spend over £50.
